Funeral director-turned-songwriter Terra Spencer has won over audiences since her 2018 solo debut with onstage wit, butterscotch voice, deft fingerstyle guitar, gospel piano, and ‘70s wood-paneled warmth. Her startling musical intuition and way with words quickly caught the attention of Canadian mentors and collaborators including David Francey, Dave Gunning, and Matt Andersen. In 2023, Terra represented Canada in the Commonwealth Song Contest with “Brick and Mortar”. In a room of 5 or 500, every show is a knee-to-knee conversation with a natural storyteller.
