As the name of this Quebecois group suggests, Les Chauffeur à Pieds (with its double meaning of both “Feet Warmers” and “Drivers on Foot”) will heat things up with its driving rhythms. This lively and entertaining group, comprised of Antoine Gauthier, Louis-Simon Lemieux, Benoît Fortier, and Olivier Soucy, was a hit with the Folk Harbour audience at the 2005 Festival and will no doubt find even more fans this year. Les Chauffeurs à Pieds is the full French-Canadian musical experience— with its upbeat instrumentals, foot-stomping rhythms, skilled songwriting, rollicking fiddle parts, and engaging stage presence. Les Chauffeurs à Pieds has received rave reviews— in Canada and internationally— both for its eight-recording discography and live performances. For Festival goers who love to dance, tap along, or simply enjoy fun, upbeat music, this group will be une expérience absolument formidable!
