Dans l’Shed is a French-Canadian duo that sings about love, humour, and everyday life. With smooth vocals, skillful instrumentals, and charming personalities, group members Éric Dion and André Lavergne add an original twist to traditional Francophone music. The result is an irresistible blend of Francophone, Canadiana, country, and blues that is sure to resonate with Folk Harbour audience members. In 2015, Dans l’Shed released a self-titled EP and a full-length recording, Rivière Rouge. The group’s most recent release, Gaspericana, came out in 2017. With these records, Dans l’Shed quickly caught the notice of reviewers, and earned many awards and nominations, including a SOCAN Best Song Award, an Export Quebec prize (for a group that best represents Canadian Francophonie), and a place on the ICI Musique’s list of 50 best albums of the year. Dan l’Shed brings its lively and fresh take on Francophone music to Folk Harbour for the first time this year. Bienvenue à Lunenburg!
