Mahone Bay, NS musician Kristen Martell is a bilingual folk-pop artist who is making a name for herself in the East Coast music scene. Kristen writes introspective songs that are filled with warmth and plenty of emotion, and delivers these with intricate guitar picking and emotive piano playing. She has received critical acclaim and award nominations since her return to music in 2020, including ECMA nominations in the Album of the Year and Folk Recording of the Year categories for her 2022 recording, Every Season. Kristen has twice been a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition and tours extensively in Eastern Canada and Ontario. She is currently working on a Francophone project to honour her Acadian heritage.
