This edition of Folk Lines highlights the final two concerts in the fall series, gives details of Folk Harbour’s upcoming Annual General Meeting, and announces the launch of 2023 Festival pass sales!
Weekends at the Opera House, Fall 2022
Our fall series, Weekends at the Opera House, has been marvellous so far, with two more incredible acts remaining.
Concerts take place at 7:30 pm at the Lunenburg Opera House (290 Lincoln Street).
Celebrating Christmas with Owen O’Sound Lee
Owen O’Sound Lee has put together a top-notch band to help us ring in the Christmas season in style!
Owen is a musician, songwriter, vocal arranger, and producer from Toronto, ON, who now calls Nova Scotia home.
Owen was the Musical Director of the Nova Scotia Mass Choir from 2014-2019; the Nova Scotia Mass Choir’s 2016 Christmas CD, Immanuel, was produced, co-written, and arranged by Owen. In this video about the making of Immanuel, Owen’s passion for Christmas music and his joyful personality can be seen.
Saturday, November 26Tickets are $25 ($12.50 for those 25 years and younger). Tickets are also available at the Folk Harbour office—125 Montague St., Lunenburg, (902) 634-3180, or by calling Ticketpro 1-888-311-9090.

Serena Ryder: The Art of Falling Apart Tour 2022: SOLD OUT
After such a wonderful fall series, it will be a perfect end to it by presenting Serena Ryder to a sold-out house.
Serena is a platinum-selling, Juno-winning, iconic artist; her video for “Better Now” can be found here.

Annual General Meeting (AGM)
Lunenburg School of the Arts

The Annual General Meeting of the Lunenburg Folk Harbour Society will take place on Thursday, November 24, at 7:00 pm at the Lunenburg School of the Arts, 6 Prince Street, upper floor.

For all those who are interested in the work of the Folk Harbour Society, this is a chance to get informed and see how you can get involved. Memberships ($20 / $10 for those 25 and under) will be sold at the AGM. You do not need a membership to attend the AGM, but you do need one to run for office and to vote.

Festival 2023: Passes on sale now!

The 38th annual Lunenburg Folk Harbour Festival will take place from August 10 to 13, 2023.
Christmas sale passes are on sale now, for $145. These passes give access to all Festival venues for the four days of the event. This is the best price of the year…don’t miss out. This price is in effect until January 3, 2023.
Early bird passes will be on sale from January 4 to April 15, 2023, for $160.
Regular price passes will be on sale for $175 from April 16 through to the Festival (or until sold out).
Everyone knows that the prices of just about everything – including most of our 2022 Festival costs – have increased greatly in the last year or so. Despite that, the 2023 Folk Harbour Festival is being offered to you at the same price as last year…a rare bargain in today’s economic climate.

Pre-order Festival Merchandise
New this year! When you order your Festival passes, you can add a 2023-themed T-shirt to your cart. When you get to the Festival, you can pick up your order and be assured of getting the size and quantity you want.
Shirts are $25, and come in sizes Small to XXL. The colour is “heather maroon” and the 2023 Festival artists will be listed on the back.
