Charlie A’Court possesses a mighty voice, fierce guitar skills, and contemporary songwriting that is appreciated by fans and critics alike. Charlie is a five-time ECMA winner and eight-time Nova Scotia Music Award winner, having earned awards for blues, pop, and R&B recordings. Charlie began performing with his father on local stages before he was of legal age, regularly wowing the audience with his soulful vocals and well-honed guitar skills. Fuelled by that experience and the fire that comes from finding and following one’s passion, he began touring and recording on his own, releasing his debut CD, Colour Me Gone, in 2003. His most recent solo album is 2021’s When Country Gets The Blues. That same year, Charlie released an album with fellow 2024 Folk Harbour Festival performers, Suzie Vinnick and Lloyd Spiegel (A’Court, Spiegel and Vinnick). Charlie previously played at the 2014 Folk Harbour Festival, with other Folk Harbour concerts series appearances besides.
