Originally from Tanzania, Baraka is a singer-songwriter currently living in St. John’s, NL. He has the ability to craft songs that are both highly personal and universally relatable, which he delivers with terrific musicianship and soulful vocals. In 2023-24, Baraka was nominated by Music NL in Global Music Artist of the Year and African-Canadian Artist of the Year categories.
