Albertan Maria Dunn likes to show off her Celtic roots. Nimble on the guitar and accordion, Maria's songs expose hints of bluegrass, country, and folk influences, but it is her gentle overtures to her Scottish past that have endeared her to New Scotland audiences time and time again. Above all, her compelling stories captivate the listener as she recounts historical and contemporary tales of hope and despair. With four solo albums to her name, Maria's passion for storytelling is still burning strong with an ever growing cast of colourful characters. Maria is joined for this, her second appearance at Folk Harbour, by the exquisitely talented fiddler and vocalist Lizzie Hoyt.
