Individual Friends of Folk Harbour

For the first time, in our 2012-2013 fiscal year, being a Friend of Folk Harbour also makes you a MEMBER of the Lunenburg Folk Harbour Society.  Being a Friend at any level also makes you a  Member or Contributing Member (at your choice) and being a Contributing Member means you receive the following benefits:

  • Invitations to membership reception or other special events
  • Email updates on events and happenings through the LFHS
  • The opportunity to vote and run for office with the Society
  • Regular newsletters
  • A portion of your donation is tax deductible
  • Two Free concert tickets (Each valued at $20 Adult or $10 Youth) (Excludes Festival or Special Events)
  • One Free ticket to Folk Steps Traditional Music Conference
  • One Free ticket to Music From the Next Generation concert

The Friends of Folk Harbour are individuals who contribute funds to the Lunenburg Folk Harbour Society to support its cultural and educational objectives. Your contribution supports year-round community cultural and educational initiatives of the Lunenburg Folk Harbour Society including:

  • Internationally renowned Lunenburg Folk Harbour Festival - The Festival has presented some of Canada’s most noted folk performers, launched careers, and earned a stellar reputation.
  • Monthly Concert Series – An off-season staple in Lunenburg
  • Folk Fiesta! – Our annual fund raiser at which Festival performers are showcased
  • Jim Pittman Awards for Youth
  • Lunenburg and District Music Festival Folk Class Scholarship Awards
  • Sunday Bandstand Series July through September
